Artists Studio Tour – Preview Sept. 11th 1-4pm

Preview Reception at the Deer Lake Gallery on Friday, September 11th., 1 to 4 p.m.

The Burnaby Arts Council invites you to celebrate the launch of this year’s, local Studio Tour. Have a ‘sneak peek’ of the participating Studio Tour Artist’s work at the Deer Lake Gallery (6584 Deer Lake Ave). , from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. on Friday, September 11th. 2009. The hidden talent in your local area is on display for your visual enjoyment. Encourage your favourite artists or explore new talent.

Recently asked about the up-coming event, Burnaby Arts Council board member Bill Thomson says, “This year the tour is bigger than ever. The studio tour ‘preview reception’ will give the community an opportunity to see what the tour will offer and select the studios they want to visit, prior to the weekend event”.

In addition to the “preview reception” for the studio tour, the arts council will be hosting interviews with each artist, beginning September 1st. Two interviews will be posted daily right here on the Art Councils’ Blog as the count-down begins for the studio tour on September 12th. & 13th ,from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Interviewer and artist Sophie St-Pierre said, “We are hoping these interviews will bring the community closer to their artists” This is clearly an event not to be missed.
