Q1. Why did you choose to become an artist? Did someone influence you?
A1. I always wanted to be an artist, but couldn’t until age 42, due to circumstances. Actually wanted to study art when I was young but was not allowed to.
Q2. What does being an artist mean to you.
A2. To be an artist is everything to me, as it is part of who I am it allows me to express my feelings.
Q3. What are your artistic influences?
A3. Variety is the spice of life. Landscapes, People, and animals are all important to me.
Q4. Do you remember your first drawing?
A4. Painting in the park program in Vancouver when I was growing up. Took part at about the age of 10 and really enjoyed this.
Q5. If you could use your art to express something socially important to you, what would you do?
A5. Supporting various charities especially children’s hospitals and senior’s homes, either to raise money or for the residents enjoyments.
Q6. If you could change part of the world through your art, what would that be.
A6. To make things more equal between one and all.
Q7. Can you tell us your favourite artist.
A7.The group of seven, Tom Thompson, especially. Three local painters,. Robert Genn and Mike Svob with his color and Ali Sepahi.
Q8. Can you share your creative process with us. How do you start painting? Do you plan your projects.
A8. I do plan my paintings but each is different depending on the medium and what I am doing.
Q9. Which colours do you prefer to use? What is your palette?
A9.Prefer bright, vibrant colors, but don’t always paint this way.
Q10. How long have you been an artist?
A10.watercolor for 23 years. Acrylic and Oils since 2007.
Q11.How do you see your future as an artist/? What is your dream?
A11. My future is to be creative, grow and achieve.
