Q1. Why did you choose to become an artist? Did someone influence you?
A1.I have always had the creative urge. I love life. Life is art. I love art.
Q2.What does being and artist mean to you?
A2.Expression of my being.
Q3. What are your artistic influences?
A3. Impressionists.
Q4. Do you remember your first drawing/painting?
A4. Yes, Mostly family drawings. I was interested in the people around me.
Q5. If you could use your art to express something socially important to you, what would you do?
A5. Beauty. Happiness.
Q6. Can you tell us your favorite artist(s)? Can tell us why? Did one
or many of these artists influence your style? In what way?
A6. Tom Thompson is one of my favorites, as well as Renoir.
Q7. Can you share your creative process with us? Ex: How do you a start painting? Do you plan your projects?
A7. I plan my projects though a series of paintings. Then prep my canvas with the appropriate colors to express mood.
Q8.How long have you been an artist?
A8. About 30 years.
Q9.What is your favorite subject to paint?
A9.I paint whatever excites me at the time. Recently it has been landscapes.
Q10. Which colours you prefer to use? What is your palette?
A10. I like earth tones but then again I sometimes go crazy with colour.
Q11.What is your medium? Why? Do you like to try different mediums or you are more conservative person?
A11. I am an oil painter and love it.
Q12.How do you see your future as an artist? What is your dream?
A12. Artists never retire so I hope to be painting a very long time.
