- A bi-weekly events calendar is published in our two local papers. Members are asked to contact the BAC Coordinator if they would like to have their events included in this publication and on the BAC website.

Co-Sponsorship Of Projects
The Burnaby Arts Council has had the opportunity to co-sponsor special presentations and projects with member groups. We have co-produced very successful events with the City of Burnaby, Burnaby Art Gallery, the Burnaby Writers’ Society, as well as many others. Cooperative planning enables groups to take full advantage of increased resources and manpower. We welcome the opportunity to discuss project concepts at any time.
Resource Centre
The Burnaby Arts Council is maintaining its role as an Arts Resource Centre. We currently have information on several topics of value to individuals involved in the arts: professional and non-professional performers, information on government agencies, foundations or businesses which provide financial assistance and publicity including media contacts.
If a group has requirements for arts related equipment, they can contact the Burnaby Arts Council to inquire about our equipment service (ie. photocopier). The inquiring group will be expected to submit a written request to Council outlining their needs and costs. Preference will be given to those items which will be available for use by other member groups.
Financial Assistance
- Operational Grants (Full Group members only, registered charities) may make application to the Burnaby Arts Council for annual operational grants. Applications are available through the Burnaby Arts Council office and are due August 30 of each year.
- Special Project Grants (All member groups) may apply any time throughout the year for special project grants. The grants are awarded to special one-time-only projects not normally undertaken by the group.
Office Services
The Burnaby Arts Council has available a number of office services for its members. Services are provided on an “at cost” basis or as available. This includes photocopying, computer assistance, and mail box. For more information about these services, please contact the BAC Coordinator.
Additional Services
As an umbrella organization for over 50 groups, we look forward to initiating new services to benefit the growth of the arts. If a group has any requirements which are not presently met by the Council, the BAC would be happy to discuss them.
