This month’s Spoken INK features winners of the Burnaby Writers’ Society 2018 writing competition! Join us for an evening of the best of poetry and prose on the theme, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly: Lessons from Mom and Dad – the sort of tale or talent you’d bring to school for a show and tell. Heartwarming, wacky and downright weird lessons that have shaped you and endured the test of time.
Even if you didn’t enter the contest, you’ll still have the opportunity to read your work at our Open Mic, following the readings and refreshment festivities. Readings begin at 8:00 p.m. Open mic to follow.
